John C. Bommarito

John C. Bommarito is general counsel and corporate secretary for the agency and its family of companies. Before that, he was associate state counsel with LandAmerica Financial Group and before that was in-house counsel for a large metropolitan Detroit title agent. Mr. Bommarito also has experience as an expert witness in disputes and litigation involving title insurance and real property. He is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan's Real Property Law Section; past president of the Michigan Land Title Association (MLTA); past chair of the Oakland County Bar Association's real estate committee; past president of the Italian American Bar Association; a member of the Macomb County Bar Association and its real estate committee; and a member of the Macomb County Bar Foundation and its scholarship committee. Mr. Bommarito enjoys speaking for various groups, including the State Bar's Real Property Law Section, Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, MLTA, and ICLE. He has been published in several places, including the MLTA's "Examiner," "Michigan Real Property Review," and ICLE materials. In addition, Mr. Bommarito is a recipient of the MLTA's Robert J. Jay award and the President's Award from the Italian American Bar Association.
