David S. Mendelson concentrates his law practice in the area of complex commercial litigation and family and matrimonial law. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Mendelson is also a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, a former chairperson of its Circuit Court Committee, and the former cochairperson of the 2005 and 2007 Oakland County Family Law Bench Bar Conferences. In 2007, he was inducted into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Mendelson was co-lead counsel in the case of "Valassis Communications, Inc. v News America," a case that resulted in the largest verdict in Michigan history and the seventh largest verdict in the United States in 2009. An active presenter in the areas of general litigation technique, family law, and civil litigation, he was selected for "The Best Lawyers in America" for 2007 and named a Michigan Super Lawyer for 2007 through 2012. Mr. Mendelson has received the highest AV-preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for 10 consecutive years.
