Douglas G. McClure

Douglas G. McClure has practiced environmental law for 30 years. He has represented clients in matters across the environmental law spectrum, including wetlands, lakes and streams, air and water pollution, Superfund and RCRA cleanups, hazardous waste compliance, permits, environmental audits, toxic torts, citizen suits, environmental crimes, and transactions involving contaminated property. Mr. McClure has negotiated and resolved complex environmental matters with federal, state, and local environmental agencies and has litigated environmental cases in federal courts, state courts, and in administrative hearings. A past chair of the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority of Washtenaw County, which coordinates public funding for the reuse and redevelopment of environmentally impacted property, he served as chair of the Public Policy Committee of the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce and as director at large of the Washtenaw County Bar Association. Mr. McClure has authored numerous articles on environmental law topics as well as guest-lectured in the University of Michigan's School of Public Health, the School of Natural Resources and Environment, and in the Environmental Journalism course in U-M's Program in the Environment. He has been a speaker, moderator, and roundtable leader for the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Association of Realtors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
