Randall L. Velzen practices almost exclusively in the area of family law, including estate planning. He was one of the first attorneys in west Michigan to complete collaborative law training through the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan (CPIM) and is a past president of CPIM. Mr. Velzen is a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Professionals of West Michigan. He is also a member of the Standards Committee of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Mr. Velzen began his professional career in 1978 and is now an attorney at Velzen Law Office. Mr. Velzen is a member of the Legislative Committee and cochair of the ADR Committee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He is also very active with the Grand Rapids Bar Association, having served on numerous committees. In 2014, Mr. Velzen was named a Leader in the Law by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly."
