Michael L. Pitt practices in the area of employment law. A founding partner of the firm, he has successfully prosecuted complex employment and civil rights matters on behalf of individuals, groups of individuals, and class members. Mr. Pitt is a past president of the Michigan Association for Justice, a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan, its Labor and Employment Law Section, and the Oakland County Bar Association. Mr. Pitt has been recognized in "The Best Lawyers in America" in the area of employee rights since 1989. He has also published articles and made more than 70 presentations on various aspects of employment and civil rights law. Mr. Pitt was part of a team of lawyers who received national recognition from Public Justice as Trial Lawyers of the Year 2008 for work on a prisoner sexual abuse/harassment case involving the Michigan Department of Corrections.
