Harvey I. Hauer focuses his practice exclusively in all aspects of family law. He is a former chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and a former chair of the Family Law Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association. A fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Mr. Hauer has served as president of its Michigan chapter and cochaired for 15 years the chapter's Continuing Legal Education Committee. He has also served as chair of the Michigan Supreme Court Domestic Relations Court Rules Committee. His article "Making Mediation Work," published in "Family Advocate," was selected by the American Bar Association to appear in "Best of the ABA Sections: General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section" (Spring 1998). Author of numerous articles on family law, Mr. Hauer has coordinated the "Michigan Bar Journal" family law theme issue since 1987. He is also a frequent lecturer in the family law arena.
