Benjamin I.S. Bershad is a founding member and managing director of the firm. He has provided valuation, dispute advisory, and forensic accounting services for a variety of purposes, including marital dissolutions, shareholder disputes, estate and gift taxation, and other corporate and litigation-related matters. Mr. Bershad has experience in a wide range of industries. He was a contributing editor of "Business Valuation," published by the Law Journal Press, and has published a number of articles on business valuation, income available for support, and other financial litigation topics. Mr. Bershad has also been a guest lecturer on various business valuation and dispute topics to law and business students at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. He is a certified valuation analyst and member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. In 2008 Mr. Bershad received the NACVA's Jeffrey R. Salins Report Writing Award for excellence in business valuation report writing. He is a member of the Women's Divorce Resource Center advisory board and is a volunteer adviser to the Oakland County Bar Association's board of directors. Mr. Bershad is a fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation and also has served on the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants Litigation and Business Valuation Task Force.
