Amy Grier is an associate director, Staff HR Services at the University of Michigan. With more than three decades of human resources experience in higher education, automotive, and service industries, Ms. Grier has a breadth and depth of expertise across many areas of human resources management. Her responsibilities at the University of Michigan include joint responsibility for HR policy, including collaborating with leaders to develop and implement policies, and providing advice and consultation to HR colleagues, managers, and employees on a wide range of topics, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, policy, and regulatory issues. Ms. Grier is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), HR Certification Institute Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and a World At Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Ms. Grier received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan.
