Jennifer Carter-Johnson

Jennifer Carter-Johnson is an associate professor at the law school. She focuses her interests on intellectual property law and policy and regulation of scientific advances and teaches patent law, bioethics, food and drug law, IP licensing, property, and contracts. Ms. Carter-Johnson combines her scientific and legal training to investigate issues at the intersection of biological research and the law. She received her law degree with honors from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was an articles editor and symposium coordinator of “Michigan Law Review.” She earned her PhD in microbiology from the University of Virginia, where her research concentrated on immune system development.
