Hon. Suzanne Hoseth Kreeger was elected to the bench in 2008 and has served as the chief judge of the 8th Circuit Court since 2009. Prior to being elected, she served as the director of the Office of the Friend of the Court and as the circuit court referee in Ionia County for 17 years. Judge Kreeger is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, a past regional director for the Friend of the Court Association, and a member for many years of the Friend of the Court Advisory Committee to the State Court Administrative Office, as well as a member of the Child Support Guideline Review Subcommittee. She is a past president of the Ionia/Montcalm County Bar Association. Judge Kreeger presently chairs the Limited English Proficiency Steering Committee charged with making recommendations to the Michigan Supreme Court for individuals who do not speak English as their primary language.
