Charles D. (Skip) Fox IV practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, trust law, and charitable organizations. Mr. Fox is a partner in the firm. He teaches several courses at the American Bankers Association National Trust School and the National Graduate Trust School, where he has been on the faculty since 1987, and is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law, where he has taught since 1983. He is a frequent lecturer across the country at seminars on trust and estate topics. In addition, he is copresenter of the well-received monthly teleconference series on estate planning issues sponsored by the American Bankers Association. Mr. Fox has contributed articles to several publications, including "Trusts & Estates," "Estate Planning, Trusts & Trustees," "Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal," and the "Journal of Asset Protection" and is a regular columnist for "Trust & Investments" on tax matters. He was a member of the editorial board of "Trusts & Estates" for several years and is now chairperson of the editorial board of "Trust & Investments." He is coeditor of "Estate Planning Strategies After Estate Tax Repeal: Insight and Analysis" (CCH 2001). He is also the author of the "Estate Planning With Life Insurance" volume of the CCH Financial Planning Library, and coauthor of four books, "Estate Planning Manual" (3 volumes, 2002), "Tax Law Guide," "Glossary of Fiduciary Terms," and "Fiduciary Law and Trust Activities Guides," published by the American Bankers Association. Mr. Fox is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (for which he serves as cochairperson of the Legal Education Committee and on the Estate and Gift Tax Committee) and is listed in "The Best Lawyers in America." He is also a member of the Duke University Estate Planning Council. Mr. Fox has provided advice and counsel to major charitable organizations and serves or has served on the boards of several charities, including Episcopal High School (from which he received its Distinguished Service Award in 2001) and the University of Virginia Law School Foundation.
