Ronald S. Longhofer

Plymouth, Michigan

Ronald S. Longhofer, JD, MBA, CFA, CFE, ABV, provides business valuation and alternative dispute resolution services (arbitration, mediation, and court-appointed master) to the legal community and the courts. As an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School, he teaches Business Valuation for Lawyers. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Longhofer was a director in the Business Valuation and Litigation Advisory Services Department at Stout Risius Ross, Inc. Previously, he was a partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, LLP, where he practiced for 28 years, primarily in the areas of securities, corporate, and commercial litigation. A past chairperson of the Civil Procedure and Courts Committee of the State Bar of Michigan, Mr. Longhofer has lectured for ICLE and other organizations on various litigation-related topics, including valuation of professional practices, trial advocacy, and the introduction of evidence. He is author of "Michigan Court Rules Practice," a six-volume treatise on the Michigan Court Rules, and "Handbook on Michigan Civil Procedure." Mr. Longhofer is also a coauthor of "Michigan Court Rules Practice - Evidence," a three-volume treatise on the Michigan Rules of Evidence, and "Handbook on Michigan Evidence."
