Reginald A. Pacis is a shareholder at Butzel Long, where he concentrates his practice in immigration law. He has handled a variety of immigration matters including H-1B specialty occupation cases, L-1 intracompany transfers, labor certification matters, and immigrant visa petitions/adjustment of status applications and interviews. Mr. Pacis is a frequent speaker and author on immigration topics, and has presented at several national conferences, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) national conferences in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Massachusetts, Nevada, British Columbia Canada, Florida, and California. He has served on a variety of committees in the Filipino community and is a member of the board of directors for the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit. Listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for Immigration Law, Mr. Pacis is a member of the American Bar Association, the AILA, and the Samahang Pilipino Ng Oakland Filipino organization. He has served on and chaired or co-chaired several AILA committees, including committees responsible for liaising with U.S. government immigration agencies, such as the U.S. Customs and Border Protection locally and nationally and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
