Dale Ann Iverson practices in the area of mediation. She is founder and principal of the firm, a professional corporation offering dispute resolution and collaboration services. At this time, she is also visiting professor of professional responsibility at Cooley Law School. Building on her 19-year practice as a trial lawyer, Ms. Iverson now devotes her work to dispute resolution including mediation and public policy facilitation in a wide range of matters. She is an approved mediator in numerous circuit courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District, the EEOC, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, U.S. Post Office, and the Special Education Mediation Program of the Michigan Department of Education. Ms. Iverson is also a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan. Most recently, she facilitated the work of the Grand Rapids Citizen Budget Advisors convened by the City of Grand Rapids and helped plan a panel presentation for the National Bar Association's annual meeting on diversity and ADR. In 2004, Ms. Iverson was conferred membership as Advanced Practitioner in Workplace and Organizations by the Association for Conflict Resolution based on substantial experience and recommendations from her clients and colleagues. She is a member of the Equal Access Initiatives Committee of the Standing Committee on Justice Initiatives for the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Iverson served on the Michigan Supreme Court 1998 Dispute Resolution Task Force and is a past chair of the ADR Section of the State Bar and a past president of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. Her awards include: John Hensel Award for service to the arts from the Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports Section of the State Bar; Michael S. Barnes Award from Western Michigan Legal Services in recognition of exemplary contribution to the provision of free legal services to the poor and elderly; George N. Bashara, Jr. Award from the ADR Section of the State Bar recognizing exemplary service to the Section and its members; the Trail Blazer Award from the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan for leadership in making peaceful resolution of disputes an option for every local citizen; and most recently the Distinguished Service Award from the ADR Section, recognizing significant contributions to the field of ADR, and the "Making a Difference Award" from the National Black Nurses Association Local Chapter KMMNBA. In 2003 and 2006, Ms. Iverson was named by the "Grand Rapids Business Journal" as one of West Michigan's most influential women.
