Gordon J. Barnett Jr. practices in the areas of litigation, personal injury, negligence, and insurance law. Mr. Barnett received his JD from the University of Virginia Law School in 1971. After graduate studies in Japanese at the University of Michigan, he joined the law firm of Douvan & Harrington in Ann Arbor. Currently a solo practitioner, Mr. Barnett has participated in more than twenty ICLE programs on trial practice and insurance law as both a lecturer and commentator. A member of the Defense Research Institute and Michigan Defense Counsel, he has served for more than twenty years as a Washtenaw County Circuit Court Mediator and for more than fifteen years as a guest lecturer and "trial judge" for the University of Michigan Law School's Trial Practice class.
