Matthew S. LaBeau focuses his practice on defense litigation in no-fault first- and third-party claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, automobile negligence, premises liability, general liability, and contractual disputes. He has also successfully defended numerous corporations against product liability and construction defect claims. Mr. LaBeau has extensive experience defending catastrophic injury claims, including claims for attendant care, home modifications, and vehicle modifications, as well as consulting insurers regarding catastrophic claims before litigation. He is a leading authority on the reform of the Michigan No-Fault Insurance Act and has prepared numerous publications and presentations on the impacts of that legislation.
