Virginia C. Thomas joined Wayne State University in 2009 as director of the Neef Law Library. In 2011, she was appointed to the law school's adjunct faculty. Ms. Thomas also serves as interim director for collection management and discovery services within the Wayne State University Library System. Before coming to Wayne State, she directed the law libraries of the University of Cincinnati and the University of Miami, where she also taught legal research methods. Ms. Thomas holds a JD from IIT Chicago Kent in addition to an MBA from IIT. She serves as an advisory member on the State Bar of Michigan's Committee on Libraries, Legal Research, and Legal Publications and as president of the Michigan Association of Law Libraries for the 2011-2012 term.
