For nearly 39 years, Thomas (Tom) G. McNeill served as trial counsel at Dickinson Wright, PLLC, in a broad commercial practice, in Michigan and nationally, which included securities, antitrust, private equity, financial institutions, automotive supply, accounting and actuarial standard of care, and contract and business torts litigation in a wide variety of industries. Mr. McNeill tried more than 50 cases to verdict or award and fully prevailed in each of those trials. In peer ratings, he has been recognized by "Chambers and Partners USA" in Michigan's Band 1 (top 5 trial lawyers in Michigan), selected by Michigan Super Lawyers as a Top 10 lawyer (in all legal disciplines), and received top ratings from "The Best Lawyers in America," Benchmark Litigation (Lawyer of the Year seven times in three litigation disciplines), "Michigan Lawyers Weekly," and "DBusiness." In 2023, Mr. McNeill launched Tom McNeill ADR, PLLC, exclusively dedicated to service as a skilled and experienced neutral and independent mediator and arbitrator, serving business people and their attorneys in the resolution of business and commercial cases in federal and state courts and in prelitigation disputes. He is a cofounder of the University of Virginia Law Softball Invitational, which celebrated its 40th annual event with more than 220 teams.
