Help is here for your ethics questions.

Ethical dilemmas arise in law practice on a daily basis, and today's economic situation may lead to increased ethical challenges as lawyers and clients struggle to stay afloat. Understand how to fire a client who's not paying and how to respond when a colleague has become impaired. Be sure you know your obligations when dissolving a law firm or leaving your present firm. Assess whether you've turned to cost-cutting measures that may lead to ethical breaches. Plus, learn what your response should be when unexpected privileged information drops into your lap.

Attend and learn to:
  • Ethically discontinue representation of a client
  • Properly respond to receipt of inadvertently-disclosed documents
  • Recognize and deal with an impaired attorney
  • Understand what you must and must not do when leaving your law firm
  • Assess the potential perils of office sharing, unbundling, and other money-saving issues you may encounter
