Roberta M. Gubbins helps lawyers and firms with their marketing writing needs, ghostwriting blog posts, newsletter articles, biographies, and more. She is the editor of "Briefs," the Ingham County Bar Association’s newsletter, and "The Mentor," e-newsletter of the State Bar of Michigan’s Master Lawyers Section. Her legal marketing column, "Clear and Convincing," appears weekly in the SBM e-journal. Ms. Gubbins also writes regularly for "Michigan Bar Journal." She is author of the book "Why Do We Do That? Commentary on Lawyers and the Law," and also writes cozy mysteries under the pen name Alexandra Hawthorne. After teaching first grade and then practicing law for a number of years, Ms. Gubbins served as an editor, writer, and photographer for "Ingham County Legal News." She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Detroit College of Law.
