D. Lynn Morison is the staff attorney for the Bureau of Employment Relations/Michigan Employment Relations Commission (MERC), having previously worked for the Bureau as an administrative law judge. Before joining the Bureau, she was a staff attorney for the Michigan Employment Security Board of Review. Prior to working for the state, Ms. Morison was on the faculty of Michigan State University, where she taught business law and published two articles on labor law topics. She has also worked as a staff attorney for the UAW-GM Legal Services Plan and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Ms. Morison is an active member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association, and has served as the Public/Neutral Co-chair of the Section’s Law Student Outreach Committee. She is a longtime member of the Section’s State and Local Government Bargaining and Employment Law Committee, and was recently appointed as the Public/Neutral Co-chair of that Committee. She previously served as the Public/Neutral Co-chair of that Committee’s subcommittee on Practice & Procedure—Unfair Labor Practices. Ms. Morison is also a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. She is a contributor to the Section’s quarterly newsletter, "LawNotes," and has co-authored an article in the "Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association Manual." For the last several years, Ms. Morison has presented the MERC Update at the ICLE Annual Labor & Employment Law Institute and has also made presentations about public sector labor law for various organizations. Ms. Morison received her JD from the University of Michigan Law School and an L.L.M. in labor law from Wayne State University Law School.
