Mary A. Bedikian is professor of law in residence and director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program at Michigan State University College of Law, where she teaches negotiation, mediation advocacy, commercial arbitration, employment ADR, and an ADR survey course. She is also a national mediation and arbitration trainer, having trained hundreds of neutrals and attorneys for the American Arbitration Association and the National Center for Dispute Settlement. Ms. Bedikian's mediation and arbitration experience spans all types of business and employment disputes and post-verdict mediations conducted under the auspices of a special Michigan court rule. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association. Ms. Bedikian is the former chairperson (1995-1996) of the state bar's Section on Alternative Dispute Resolution, from which she received the Distinguished Service Award for her contributions to the field of ADR. In addition to her lecture and training activities, she has written extensively in the field of ADR, having published over 20 articles, five book chapters, and two ADR practice books, including coauthoring "Michigan Pleading and Practice," Vol. 8A.
