Sandra Schultz Mengel retired in 2011 after a 32-year career at the Michigan Court of Appeals during which she served as research attorney, judicial law clerk, research supervising attorney, assistant clerk, chief deputy clerk, and chief clerk of the court. During her career, Ms. Mengel also served on a variety of State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) work groups, and she developed and chaired the SCAO E-Filing Advisory Group. She was the court of appeals liaison to the State Bar of Michigan Appellate Practice Section and was a planning committee member and presenter at Michigan Appellate Bench Bar Conferences from 1995 to 2010. Ms. Mengel was presented with the Appellate Practice Section's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Bench Bar Conference.
