Charles E. Kelly, D.O., is president and Chief Executive Officer of the Henry Ford Physician Network. In this role, Dr. Kelly leads a coordinated system of care delivery aligning almost 1,900 physicians, hospital and ancillary services around new initiatives for clinical integration and quality improvement efforts. Previously, he was medical director and then chief of staff for four terms at Saint Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital. He also served on the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System Joint Chiefs Council, Physician Council, and 10 years as chairperson of the Quality Steering Committee. In 2006, he was appointed vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer of St. Joseph's Healthcare and Regional VPMA/CMO of Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals. In 2007, Dr. Kelly was appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He was reappointed by Governor Rick Snyder and currently chairs the Licensing Board. Dr. Kelly also served 14 years as flight/fighter surgeon in the Michigan Air National Guard, achieved the rank of colonel, and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.
