A family law practitioner, Blaine B. Johnson Jr. limited his practice to complex divorce cases. He was a member of the Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association and an active participant on the State Bar's Family Law Section online discussion group. A former member of ICLE's Family Law Advisory Board, Mr. Johnson served on the planning committee for all of ICLE's Annual Family Law Institutes, where he had also been a moderator and presenter. He was a frequent lecturer on family law and law practice management for the State Bar of Michigan at the Upper Michigan Legal Institute, for the Family Law Section of the State Bar, and for ICLE. Mr. Johnson also assisted with curriculum design and planning for ICLE's Family Law Certificate Program, including the drafting and planning for the Limited Enrollment Seminar relating to the "Negotiation and Drafting of a Property Settlement Agreement in Michigan." He passed away June 28, 2010.
