Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney Office
Detroit,
Michigan
In the year 2000, Robert L. Agacinski was appointed grievance administrator by the Michigan Supreme Court. His duties and responsibilities include oversight of the investigation and prosecution of alleged misconduct by licensed Michigan attorneys, with a staff of around 35 handling an average 3000 complaints per year on an annual budget of approximately $4 million. Prior to that, Mr. Agacinski worked in the Wayne County court system, working his way through the Friend of the Court Office, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Prosecutor's Repeat Offenders Bureau staff, where he was appointed deputy chief. During his time with that unit, he tried many high profile or complex cases involving serious crimes including the first DNA and the first electrophoresis (blood enzyme) cases in the state.
