Online Training Policies

What is Online Training?

Online Training focuses on skills—what lawyers do rather than what lawyers know. It includes online lessons and self-assessments. You learn skills through demonstration videos, practice resources, and tools. It also includes interactive elements like branching scenarios and self-assessments where you can see the results of your actions and decisions and how an expert would respond in the same circumstances. Online Training can be completed at your own pace.

How long do subscriptions to an Online Training product last?

One or two year, depending on the product. Your subscription starts the day you sign up and runs for 12 or 24 months. We will send you a renewal notice before your subscription expires.

How much does an Online Training product cost per year?

Prices vary by product. See the ICLE STORE for complete pricing for each title.

Do ICLE Partners get discounts on Online Training?

Yes. Your discount will be displayed when you are logged in under your user name and password in the STORE. This discount may not be combined with other sales or discounts.

Do I need to pay for the entire subscription when I sign up?

Yes. You must pay for the entire subscription when you sign up for Online Training. The subscription fee is nonrefundable.

Do I need to be a lawyer to purchase Online Training?

You must be a lawyer to purchase Online Training products that include a certificate of completion; nonlawyers may purchase other Online Training products.

Can a law firm, an association, or a library purchase an Online Training subscription for use by our members or patrons?

No, subscriptions to Online Training products are for the individual purchaser’s use.

What terms of use govern my usage of Online Training?

May I cancel at any time?

You may cancel at any time, but the subscription fee is nonrefundable.

How do I purchase an Online Training product?

  • Online: Go to the ICLE STORE and search for the Online Training product you’d like to purchase. You will be asked to agree to the subscriber agreement. We suggest you print a copy for your records. You will be able to access your Online Training immediately by using your ICLE username and password.
  • By phone: Call us at 877-229-4350, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
  • By mail or fax: Mail or fax us your order with your payment and information. We’ll fax you a subscriber agreement to sign. Fax or mail it back to us, and we’ll e-mail your username and password information so you can access your Online Training.
