What ’s Included

Top Tips in Ten Minutes are brief Web-based presentations on practical topics of broad appeal. All presentations include a text version. Some also have a video version and an audio version.

Search and Browse

To search for a Top Tips in Ten Minutes presentation on your topic, enter your search term in the search box. If you are searching for an exact phrase, put the phrase in quotation marks.

If you don’t find the Top Tips presentation you are looking for using a particular search term, first check to make sure you typed it correctly and then try using a synonym. Click on Search Tips for more advice on how to get good search results.

You can also browse (see a list of) presentations by practice area and topic:

  • Beside the heading Browse, click on the drop-down box and select a practice area, or click on All Resources to see the entire list of presentations sorted by practice area.
  • This will take you to a list of subcategories. Click on a subcategory to see a list of presentations in that subcategory.
  • To preview a particular presentation, click on the title.

Requirements for Viewing Video Top Tips Presentations

ICLE uses HTML5 to deliver Top Tips presentations. To view these presentations you will need to have a Web browser capable of supporting HTML5. The following Web browsers and mobile Operating Systems have that capability:

  • Internet Explorer 8 or higher
  • Firefox 5 or higher
  • Safari 3 or higher
  • Chrome 14 or higher
  • Google Android 2.3.4 or higher
  • Apple iOS 4.2.7 or higher
  • Palm Web OS 1.4.5 or higher
  • Screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher

How to Use Top Tips

If a Top Tips in Ten Minutes presentation has a video available, either you will see a page that includes the video or the text page will include a link in the upper right part of the Web page. If you’re on a video page and wish to read a text version instead, click on in the upper right part of the Web page. If you’d like to listen to an audio-only version, click on to play or save an audio file (audio-only files are available only for presentations that have a video version).


Troubleshooting

If you are unable to view a Top Tips video presentation, please check the following:

  • Are you using a supported browser—Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Safari 5 or higher, or Firefox 5 or higher (ICLE recommends IE 8 or higher for best results with our Web site)?

If you cannot hear audio on a Top Tips presentation, please check the following:

  • Do you have external speakers or headphones connected to the computer?
  • Is the volume turned up high enough? Check the audio levels in a different program like Windows Media Player or iTunes.
