Ted Becker is a clinical professor of law and director of the Legal Practice Program at the University of Michigan Law School. He teaches Legal Practice, Transactional Drafting, and Research and Analysis in American Law along with various mini-seminars. Before joining the faculty at the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Becker practiced with Dickinson Wright in Lansing. He was previously an adjunct professor at Cooley Law School. Mr. Becker is the 2023-2024 chair of the ICLE executive committee, serving his second term in the position. In addition, he is the cochair of the Association of Legal Writing Directors and the Legal Writing Institute's Joint Survey Committee. Mr. Becker also received an Association of Legal Writing Directors Outstanding Service Award in 2018. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois.
