About
webcasts
What are live and archived
webcasts?
ICLE’s live and archived webcasts are
convenient alternatives to attending seminars in person. Both live
and archived webcasts allow
you to watch a complete seminar and view and print a seminar handbook
right from your desktop. A live webcast allows you to watch the seminar
as it is happening and even submit questions to the speaker. Archived
webcasts are recorded versions of the live events and are available
within three
weeks of the live date.
Please note: Live webcasts
are subject to interruptions caused by normal internet traffic. You
will automatically receive 90-day access to the
archived
webcast when you register for a live webcast so that, should you experience
difficulty, you can view the entire presentation without these interruptions.

Who can access live and archived webcasts?
Any individual, including in-state and out-of-state attorneys and non-attorneys,
can register for
webcasts. Registration is free for ICLE Partners. Please
note that we do not offer firm or group registrations for webcasts
because it's generally a better value for a group to register for the
Partnership. Attendance
exceptions for ICLE cosponsors and educational organizations are part
of the negotiated agreement with each organization. To find out more about these agreements,
contact ICLE's Customer Service Department at 877-229-4350.
How long do I have to view an archived webcast?
You have 90 days from the date of purchase to view an archived webcast.
Additionally, if you register for a live webcast,
you will receive 90-day access to the archived version as soon as it
becomes available (within three weeks after the live event).
Do I get seminar materials if I register for a webcast?
Yes. The seminar materials will be displayed for each
topic as you view the live or archived webcast. You can also download
and print a PDF version of each topic in the seminar. Learn
how.
I registered for a webcast, how do I find it?
If you are an ICLE Partner, you can link to webcasts
you've registered for by using your user name and password to log into
the
My ICLE

on the Webcast and MP3 Downloads link under the Partnership heading.
The titles of the live webcasts you've registered for, plus any archived
webcasts you're trying to earn ICLE Certificate Program or MCLE credit
for, will be displayed on the right side of the Webcast home
page. You can also search or browse the past year's archived webcasts
from that page.
If you are not an ICLE Partner, you can
access the live and archived webcasts you've registered for by using
your user name and password to log into ICLE's website and clicking on
the
title of the webcast under the Webcasts You've
Registered For section on the My ICLE page.
If you do not know your user name and password, call us
at 877-229-4350 Mon - Fri
8am - 5pm.
Registering for a webcast
I'm an ICLE Partner, do I have to register for a webcast?
ICLE Partners must
register for live webcasts before viewing them. However,
ICLE Partners can view archived webcasts
at any
time
(without
registering) by logging into ICLE's website and clicking on Webcasts and MP3 Downloads under
the Partnership links.
How can I register for
a webcast?
You can browse our upcoming seminars and certificate programs at any
time from any place on our web site by hovering your cursor over the
Seminars tab at the top of our web page.
To browse upcoming seminars:
- If you are an ICLE Partner, you could receive
discounts for many of our products or seminars. Log in before purchasing
a product to be sure
you are getting the lowest price available to you.
- Hover your cursor over the Seminar tab then click
Seminars and Seminar Products or Certificate
Programs in the brown
bar to view a list of our upcoming
seminars.
- Once you click on a collection (e.g., Seminars
and Seminar Products) you will be able to search and browse
for products within the collection.
Can I extend my access to an archived webcast?
Yes. You can extend your 90-day access to an archived
webcast for $50 by calling ICLE at 877-229-4350 Mon
- Fri 8am - 5pm.
Can I cancel my webcast purchase?
Yes. You may cancel your webcast purchase any time
before the live presentation. A $15 cancellation fee will apply.
Can I transfer from a live seminar
to a webcast?
There are no restrictions on when a customer can transfer
between a live and video replay or between a live and webcast. Customers
who miss
the live presentation and transfer to the online presentation will
not, however, be mailed a seminar handbook.
My webcast didn't work, can I have a refund?
No. We will not issue refunds for live webcasts after
the live event. Please note, however, that you will receive 90-day access
to the archived
presentation as part of your purchase. If you experience difficulty
viewing the seminar due to internet traffic, try viewing the seminar
again once the archived version is available (typically within three
weeks of the live event).
Can I watch a webcast with other attorneys in my firm?
ICLE does not offer
firm or group registration pricing for live or archived webcasts because
it is generally a
better
value
for a group
to
register
for the
Partnership.
Registration for a webcast allows access for one viewer. Please review
the license agreement for more information. Attendance exceptions for
ICLE cosponsors and educational organizations are part of the negotiated
agreement with each organization. To find out more about these agreements,
contact ICLE's Customer Service Department at 877-229-4350.

a webcast?

Troubleshooting webcasts
I have Windows Media Player 6.4 (Windows NT),
but the Windows Media videos do not play.
Windows Media Player 6.4 is not compatible with ICLE webcasts. Upgrade
to a newer version of Windows (Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, or Vista) and
to Windows Media Player 9, 10, or 11.
I have just
installed RealPlayer, but the plugin still isn't working.
Try closing all open browsers, then reopen the browser. Navigate back to the
Online Seminar, and RealPlayer should function fine.
Is the audio playing, but no sound is coming out?
Does your computer have a sound card? A sound card
is a standard piece of computer hardware that enables you to listen
to the sounds your computer is making. If your computer has speakers
or headphones and/or if it plays sound effects when you turn it on
and off, then it has a sound card. If not, then you probably don't
have a sound card. Check with a computer store about getting one installed.
I have a sound card, and the audio is playing,
but I still can't hear it. What do I do?
1. If your computer can play sounds, but you still
can't hear them, make sure the headphones or speakers are connected
properly (check your instruction manuals) and adjust the volume control
knob on your speakers. If you still don't receive sound, try # 2.
2. Check the Control settings on your computer. Look at the taskbar and locate
the sound icon: . Make
sure the volume setting is turned up and the mute box is unchecked. If you
don't see this icon ,
try # 3.
3. Check the Multimedia Control Panel. The Control Panel can be found under
the Windows Start Menu>Settings>Control Panel>Multimedia (may differ
depending on your operating system; consult your computer's user manual if
you cannot find this setting). Adjust the audio setting.
4. Each media player also has a volume control. Make sure the volume setting
is turned up and the mute box is unchecked.
5.
Is your connection OK? If you aren't connected
to the Internet, you won't hear anything. To listen to a webcast, you
must be connected.
I use AOL and am having trouble
accessing Online Seminars. What can I do?
Open another browser (while using AOL as your
Internet provider).
I can never connect - it always says it's buffering,
or I wait and error messages pop up.
Internet traffic:
If RealPlayer or Windows Media Player doesn't
connect, but you've managed to get it working before, the problem
may be caused by Internet traffic. This happens when too many people
try to access the same piece of audio or video. Try closing your
browser, then reopening it to establish a new connection. If you
are watching an archived webcast, try connecting again later. Peak
weekday hours for Internet traffic are typically 2-5 pm EST.
Networks and firewalls:
If your computer is on an office network, Internet
access may be restricted using a firewall. Ask your network administrator
to make the necessary changes to permit you to access the ICLE’s
Webcasts through Windows Media Player (or Real Player for archived
webcasts).
Additional help:
Try the Windows
Media Player help pages or the RealPlayer
help pages which provide detailed information.
Why can't I fast forward or change topics during
my webcast?
You can fast forward or view out of order any archived
webcast as long as you are not watching the archived webcast for ICLE
certificate program or MCLE credit. (ICLE must restrict your ability
to fast forward or view seminar topics out of order for these seminars
to ensure you watched the entire program.) If you do not require ICLE
certificate program or MCLE credit for your seminar and are having
difficulty fast forwarding or changing topics, please contact ICLE
at 877-229-4350 to change your access rights to this seminar.
