Seminars

Advance registration holds your space and your course materials for the first 15 minutes of the course. Walk-in registrations are permitted on a space-available basis or if advanced registrants fail to claim their seat in the first 15 minutes of the course.

ICLE will fax you a confirmation within 3 days of your registration. If you register online, you can print out a confirmation right then. ICLE will still email you another confirmation to assure you the Web registration went through properly. Online registrations must be completed by noon the day before the seminar. If you register later than noon, your name will probably not appear on the sign-in sheets and you will need to register as a walk-in. Please bring your printed confirmation to the seminar with you as proof of payment/registration.

Webcasts

ICLE Partners and customers who do not subscribe to the Partnership must register to gain access to our live webcasts. Archived webcasts can be viewed by Partners for free without prior registration. All others must register for archived webcasts before receiving access.

ICLE will email a confirmation within one business day of registering for a webcast. You will receive a reminder email 48 hours before the seminar with instructions to access the webcast.

Advance cancellations. For most courses and webcasts, you will receive a full refund when you notify ICLE by letter or phone of your cancellation by 8:00 a.m. three business days before the presentation for which you are registered. Cancellations made within three days before your selected course will be assessed a $15 handling fee.

Cancellations on the day of the course. No refunds will be made for cancellations the day of the presentation or thereafter, but you may substitute within the firm or transfer to another site or to an archived webcast at no penalty. Those who do not attend the course cancel by default and will not receive any refund. No refunds will be issued for webcasts or MP3s after the live event.

Certain seminars (generally ICLE annual institutes and limited enrollment skills training courses) have their own cancellation policies, which may provide no refunds for cancellations within a week or two of the seminar date. Consult separate seminar brochures, the ICLE website, or call ICLE toll free at (877) 229-4350 for questions about a particular seminar.

Transfers. For ICLE seminars with alternative locations, you may transfer to another location, if space permits and you notify ICLE of the transfer request by the date of the presentation for which you originally registered. Prior to the live event, you may also transfer your registration to view the seminar via webcast. You may not transfer your webcast registration to a live location after the live webcast has been presented. (Please note that, by registering for the webcast, you automatically receive 90-day access to the archived webcast as soon as it becomes available.)

ICLE would like to make all seminars accessible to you. If you require special arrangements, please contact ICLE toll free at (877) 229-4350 no later than seven days before the course.

ICLE Partners. ICLE Partners pay one annual fee for prepaid Partnership seminar attendance, access to online resources, and discounts on other ICLE services. The number of prepaid attendance at Partnership seminars varies with firm size and price of the ICLE Partnership. Consult your Partnership Agreement for details.

Webcasts are free to all ICLE Partners.

Cosponsoring Section Members: Certain ICLE seminars and webcasts, cosponsored by a particular section of the State Bar of Michigan, have discounted registration fees for Section members.

Lawyers 0 to 3 years in practice: Most ICLE seminars and webcasts have a discounted fee for lawyers who were licensed within three years prior to the date of the seminar.

Law Students: Most ICLE seminars are offered to law students at reduced rate. This rate is not available for limited enrollment skills training courses and are not listed on brochures. Please call ICLE toll free at (877) 229-4350 and press option 1 for the applicable discounted rate.

ICLE MP3 downloads are licensed for private use to the purchasing lawyer ONLY. Any duplication, retransmission, lending, reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.

Printed seminar handbooks. If, within 30 days of purchase, you are not satisfied with a seminar handbook, you may return it in unmarked condition for a full refund.

Audio CDs and MP3 downloads are not returnable. If yours is defective, call ICLE toll free at (877) 229-4350 to request replacement of the defective item.
