How to use the New Law Updates MI Law Updates is a searchable collection of summaries of major legal developments and New Law Centers with resources on major legal changes. The summaries are sent out each week in ICLE's email newsletter, “This Week in Michigan Law,” and are then archived in the MI Law Updates area. Disclaimer. We select topics that we believe are most newsworthy but do not attempt to summarize every development in Michigan law. While every effort has been made to produce accurate summaries, these updates are meant as alerts only and are not a substitute for your independent legal research To search the Updates, enter a keyword(s) in the search box and click GO! Or press ENTER. Results will appear in order of relevance. To browse the Updates, click on the drop-down box and select a practice area or All Practice Areas. Then select a time period (the default is within last 12 months). This will take you to a list of summaries, ranked in reverse chronological order (most recent first). © Copyright 2008 The Institute of Continuing Legal Education
