How to use a Different BROWSER While Logged on to AOL

Follow the steps below to activate your AOL account and use a different browser to enter ICLE's Web site.

  1. Logon to AOL as you usually do.
  2. Minimize AOL (In the top right corner of your monitor there are three small boxes, click on the , to minimize the browser)
  3. On your regular computer screen you may have a small blue "e" for Internet Explorer (IE) Browser, or capital "N," for Netscape Navigator Browser (we recommend using Internet Explorer).
  4. Select the one you have and double-click to open the browser.
    • The IE Browser has an ADDRESS line to enter a Web site address.
    • The Netscape Navigator Browser has a LOCATION line to enter a Web site address.

Getting Internet Explorer Free

You can get an up-to-date version of IE as a free add-on to your current AOL system. To do this, Use Keyword: Microsoft from the America Online main menu. You will be able to download IE, which will bring you the latest and most convenient World Wide Web browser technology.


Using AOL

It is possible to use AOL with our site. If you are having problems, you may have an out-of-date version of AOL and the America Online Browser—and it may be time to consider an upgrade. If you are using an older version of AOL, you can get a free software upgrade on AOL.

Download AOL 9.0. AOL 9.0 enhances AOL's speed and layout and includes a new browser that is specially geared toward AOL users. To get the upgrade go to Keyword: Upgrade.
