  Clarification of Time for 
  Filing Postjudgment Motions
                           
  
  On July 13, 2005, this Court entered an order, effective January 1, 2006,
  that reduced the time from 12 months to 6 months for filing postjudgment motions
  pursuant to MCR 6.310(C) (motion to withdraw plea), 6.419(B) (motion for
  directed verdict of acquittal), 6.429(B) (motion to correct invalid sentence), and
  6.431(A) (motion for new trial).  This amendment is not applicable to cases where
  the order appointing appellate counsel was entered on or before December 31,
  2005.  In cases where the order appointing appellate counsel was entered on or
  before December 31, 2005, such postjudgment motions shall be filed within 12
  months of the date of the order appointing appellate counsel.
