  ADM File No. 2002-09

  Rescission of Administrative
  Order Nos. 2001-4, 2003-4,
  2004-3, and 2006-7
  (Pilot project relating to the
  use of Interactive Video
  Technology)

On order of the Court, Administrative Order Nos. 2001-4, 2003-4, 2004-3, and
  2006-7 are rescinded, effective May 1, 2007.

Staff Comment: Administrative Order Nos. 2001-4, 2003-4, 2004-3, and 2006-7
implemented and then continued and expanded a pilot program in various courts allowing
for the use of interactive video technology (IVT) in certain juvenile and probate
proceedings. With the adoption of MCR 3.904 and MCR 5.738a, courts will be able to
institute IVT without prior approval by the State Court Administrative Office, as long as
the IVT system installed by the courts meets IVT standards established by SCAO. Thus,
those administrative orders will be obsolete.
