Administrative Hearings Before the Michigan DHHS: A Hands-On Workshop
06/29/18 Ann Arbor | CLE: 2.75 | Level: Intermediate

Your Complete Guide to DHHS Administrative Hearings

If you are a current participant or graduate of ICLE’s Elder Law Certificate Program, this optional, in-person workshop is offered, at no charge, exclusively to you. It's the perfect supplement to your online training.

Sometimes your Medicaid application is unfairly denied and an appeal is necessary. Using a true-to-life case study, you’ll explore how to effectively prepare for and win a DHHS administrative hearing, all in an interactive group setting. Effectively use MAHS and DHHS rules and procedures to establish your claim then watch the case unfold in a mock hearing. Experts provide feedback and send you home with a sample hearing brief and the experience you need.

Attend for These Great Benefits:

  • Review key MAHS and DHHS procedural rules and policies
  • Identify evidence you’ll use to support your arguments to the ALJ
  • Decide when and how to request a hearing
  • Formulate your cross-examination strategy for answering DHHS’s evidence
  • Prepare an opening statement and present your evidence

This seminar is limited to Elder Law Certificate Program participants*
